Supporting Afghan Refugees at Fort McCoy

 

Through Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, you can help Afghan Refugees at Fort McCoy. We will help groups and individuals in southeast Wisconsin organize collections and deliver needed items. We are coordinating efforts with Catholic Charities of La Crosse and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) who are present on the Base and have firsthand knowledge of needs.

Group Collections

 

Please review the following if your parish, church, congregation or organization is interested in supporting Afghan Refugees' immediate needs.

  • Follow this link from Catholic Charities of La Crosse for a list of needed items. 
    • Only NEW items in their original packaging will be accepted.
  • Please collect purchased items at your parish, church or organzation. 
    • To arrange pick-up of your collected donations, contact Jay Sugar at jsugar@ccmke.org.
    • Items may also be dropped off at 2021 N 60th Street, Milwaukee at the Catholic Charities office. Please contact Jay Sugar in advance.
  • Catholic Charities Volunteers will sort and organize collected items. 
    • Jay Sugar will coordinate with Catholic Charities of La Crosse and the USCCB for delivery of items to Fort McCoy.

 

Individual Donations

 

  • Follow this link from Catholic Charities of La Crosse for a list of needed items.
    • Only NEW items in their original packaging will be accepted.​
  • Deliver your new items to 2021 N 60th Street, Milwaukee at the Catholic Charities office.
    • Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Please ask a staff member for guidance or in the case of large quantities of items contact Jay Sugar at jsugar@ccmke.org.
  • Catholic Charities Volunteers will sort and organize collected items. 
    • Jay Sugar will coordinate with Catholic Charities of La Crosse and the USCCB for delivery of items to Fort McCoy.
