COVID-19 Resources

Catholic Charities provides essential social services and remains open to serve those most in need throughout the pandemic. Our office hours are Monday-Friday 8:30-5p.m.

After the Senior Hotline was created, the Catholic Charities Leadership Team realized that there was an urgent need for immediate access to the non-perishable food items. With several food pantries in the area having limited hours of operation and being stretched by the community need, the team found themselves improvising to deliver emergency provisions. To best serve the needs of the community, Catholic Charities is hosting a food drive at locations in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Sheboygan, and Racine to create an emergency food resource.

As news and concerns regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) evolve, Catholic Charities would like you to know that we have been closely monitoring the developing situation and are taking guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and State Department of Health seriously.

Protecting the health and well-being of our clients, staff, and volunteers are of the utmost importance to Catholic Charities. We have taken action to ensure that we are mitigating potential exposure to our clients while continuing to operate our programs.

As more information becomes available, we will evaluate the best course of action for the health and well-being of the people we serve in our communities throughout southeast Wisconsin.

Following the recommendations from the Wisconsin Department of Health and the State of Wisconsin to take necessary actions to help slow the spread of this disease, and to protect our most vulnerable clients, we have taken several precautionary measures:

At all of our service sites, we are taking precautions to ensure that our staff is doing all that we can to help prevent the spread of disease.

Measures we are taking include:

  • Ensuring that our service sites have hygiene and cleaning products available for staff, clients, and visitors to make use of in order to help prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
  • Conversations with our contracted cleaning services to ensure that extra measures are taken to disinfect frequently touched spaces such as counters, desks, hand railings, doorknobs, and other high traffic surfaces.
  • Posting information at the main entrances, asking that clients or visitors who are ill or experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms to refrain from entering the building and instead call the office for services or support.
  • Encouraging our staff to take care of themselves and to stay home if they are feeling ill.

We will continue to share updates on this web page and on our social media channels. We thank you for your understanding and patience in this unprecedented situation.
