Good Samaritan Society

As Jesus tells the parable of the Good Samaritan, we are shown what it means to be a neighbor, and to act with compassion and mercy. Like the innkeeper in the story, Catholic Charities works with you, the neighbor, the Good Samaritan, to care for those most in need.

The Good Samaritan Society is for supporters who have provided significant financial contributions to the mission of Catholic Charities throughout the past year. The generous charitable contributions of these supporters provide maximum impact for our neighbors who have the greatest need.

Join the Good Samaritan Society

Please consider the impact your donation can make for someone in need.

When you support Catholic Charities through a meaningful gift, you become part of the Good Samaritan story. You become the one who stops, who sees and who acts. You are making a significant and lasting impact — walking alongside those in need and lifting them up with mercy and hope.

Is a gift of $1,000 - $2,500 - $5,000 - $10,000 - $25,000, or more, within your heart and ability to contribute?

DONATE TODAY

For our loyal, annual donors who give at this highly impactful level, we recognize you as members of Catholic Charities Good Samaritan Society. Members share a special connection to our mission and are recognized at our annual celebration.

Please consider joining the Good Samaritan Society today and help extend Christ’s love to those who need it most.

Good Samaritan Society Benefactors Dinner

Each year, Catholic Charities presents the Good Samaritan Society Benefactors Dinner to honor those whose extraordinary generosity uplifts our mission and touches the lives of those we serve.

With Archbishop Jeffrey S. Grob, President of Catholic Charities, and our dedicated volunteers leading the evening, this annual gathering is a joyful celebration of compassion, connection, and shared purpose.

Thanks to generous event sponsorships, this celebration is made possible and offered in heartfelt gratitude to our most devoted supporters.

In 2025, we look forward to welcoming our Good Samaritan Society members on October 16 at the Milwaukee Marriott Downtown, where Celia and John Kinsella will serve as our chair-couple and ambassadors for this special evening.

A Samaritan traveler who came upon him was moved with compassion at the sight. He approached the victim, poured oil and wine over his wounds and bandaged them. Then he lifted him up on his own animal, took him to an inn and cared for him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper with the instruction, ‘Take care of him. If you spend more than what I have given you, I shall repay you on my way back.’
